WELCOME FROM
PRESIDENT BREEZE VELAZQUEZ
Hey Bruins! My name is Breeze Velazquez, and I am your USAC student body president this year for the 2021-2022 school year.
I know this is not how you imagined our school year starting, but I want you to know that we are still committed to you and your needs this year and throughout your time here at UCLA. As President of the Undergraduate Student Association Council, I serve alongside 14 other elected student representatives to advocate on behalf of our very diverse undergraduate population.

This year, my priorities are navigating our students through the on-going pandemic, providing transparency, holding the administration accountable on issues of public health and safety, accessibility, affordability, and continuing to make our student government as inclusive and representative as possible. We have a long year ahead of us but I’m so glad that we’re tackling it together. So let’s support one another and keep each other safe by wearing our masks, washing our hands, and staying in our pods. Our office has spent all summer long preparing our website and stepping up our social media presence in hopes to be the hub of information and resources on campus for all of our students.
Our Mission
In the Office of the President, we work to promote and ensure academic equity, accessibility, and affordability. In doing this, we also ensure accountability — for our office, our administration, and the institution as a whole. Our team of staff consists of amazingly driven and passionate people determined to implement long-lasting change for all students on campus, including but not limited to historically marginalized communities, through organized advocacy. We are committed to providing equitable and safe spaces for each student at this institution, aiming to serve students in the most relevant ways, especially in such unprecedented times.
